Hello,
My wife and I have made friendships with many very pleasant International students, several who still stay in contact and have offered to host us in their country.

We have provided homestays for International students for about seven years now. About five were long term students that stayed with us for about a year and we also had about 30 short-term International students who stayed at our home for only 2-8 weeks.

My wife and I have been to London and Paris, as well as Venice, Florence, and Rome Italy. We have also been to Canada and five different Tourist cities in Mexico.

My wife and I enjoy traveling and often go to the beach. We have been on four Caribbean cruises and also enjoy going out to see a movie.

We go to church almost every week from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. Students do not need to go with us, but can go with us if they would like to.

Rules: No Drugs or Alcohol use at the house or outside the house. Besides that we ask that each student wash their own dishes and be quiet after 10 pm.


One very good benefit of our homestay is that our house is only about four blocks to the Light Rail (MAX TRAIN). On the train, it is about 30 minutes to Downtown Portland, then about ten blocks to Portland State University. There are also two bus stops within two blocks of our house. We are also close to Portland Community College.
